Insects make up 75% of the animal kingdom. Above is a diagram of the body of a bee. There are three main parts to the body. They are the head, the thorax and the abdomen. These are the parts of the body that are in every insect.

Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis is the process where an insect or amphibian transforms from an immature form to an adult form in two or more distinct stages and is sometimes called a lifecycle. There are two main types of metamorphosis. Complete and incomplete metamorphosis. Complete metamorphosis consists of 4 stages, egg to larvae to pupa to adult. Incomplete metamorphosis consists of 3 distinct stages. Egg to nymph to adult.
